Our Story
Granite PM Academy was founded by practitioners who spent 30+ years inside the work — not in classrooms teaching it from the outside. Our founders came up through large consulting firms, managing complex, high-stakes programs for enterprise clients before moving into executive leadership. That path included serving as CIO of a $1B+ organization, where the gap between credentialed project managers and genuinely capable ones became impossible to ignore.
What we saw, repeatedly, was PMs who had passed their exams but had never been taught how to think through a real project decision. They had frameworks memorized but no instinct for applying them. The certifications existed. The fundamentals weren't sticking.
That's the problem Granite PM Academy was built to solve. We teach PM the way it actually works — grounded in the methodology PMI tests, but delivered by people who have run real projects, managed real teams, and made real decisions under pressure. Every course, every instructor, and every curriculum update starts from the same question: does this make someone a better project manager, or just a better test-taker?
We believe those outcomes should be the same thing. That's why our pass rates are what they are — and why our graduates come back when they're ready for the next credential.
